Flexible working
We encourage flexible working and employ part-time staff. People can opt to work different patterns, that might mean compressed hours or a structure that is based around term-time working.
After 26 weeks with us, you have a right to ask to change the conditions of your contract by varying your hours, days or location. The latter may not really apply given that most of us work remotely but nonetheless, do ask.
Please note that we have to consider the impact on the operational side of things and there’s a formal process to go through, whether the response is a yes or no.
Speak to your manager for the full details about how this works.
Time off in lieu (TOIL)
There may be occasions when you will need to deliver something for a client in the middle of the night or at the weekend. Typically this will be a training course or simulation.
When this happens we want people to get that time back. We expect people to manage this process themselves, using the following criteria:
- round up the time you have spent to the nearest half day. For example, if you spend two hours delivering a presentation on a Sunday morning, you are owed half a day
- you must only accrue three days at any one time
- any time off you accrue must be taken within four weeks
